The Advertising Club of Toledo, Inc. (ACT) is a professional and social organization for individuals actively involved in the creation and production of advertising and marketing communications materials. The nonprofit (501C6) organization was originally formed in the 1930s and remains dedicated to providing professional education and promoting fellowship among members and the community they serve.

ACT is a member of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) headquartered in Washington, D.C. and part of the Fifth District, composed of Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. The AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 40,000 professionals in the advertising industry. The AAF has a national network of 200 ad clubs located in ad communities across the country, including the Advertising Club of Toledo.

The operations of the Advertising Club of Toledo are guided by a 16-member Board of Governors who meet monthly, and Club activities are planned and conducted by one of several committees made up of Board and general members.

Besides the regular Monthly Luncheon Programs, ACT members also enjoy annual fundraising and social activities including:

• “AdBASH” Volleyball Tournament
• “AdPIN” Bowling Tournament
• “AdBID” Auction and Casino Night

In addition, ACT introduced AdWORKS in 2009, a Marketing and Advertising seminar and trade show for local businesses featuring ACT members.

The Advertising Club of Toledo annually gives scholarships to area college students enrolled at accredited regional institutions and pursuing careers in the marketing and advertising industry.
