Fifth District ADDY Awards

3 LOCAL ENTRIES WIN GOLD IN FIFTH DISTRICT ADDY CREATIVE COMPETITION

The Advertising Club of Toledo is pleased to announce 3 Gold and 2 Silver ADDY Awards at the recent American Advertising Federation (AAF) Fifth District ADDY Show. Judging was hosted by AAF West Virginia. Advertisers in the Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia areas piled up 35 Gold awards which will have a chance at a National ADDY Award in June at the national AAF ADDY show – the world’s largest advertising creative show.

Gold Winners:

  • Madhouse for their Andrew Bird Poster for the Michigan Theater
  • The University of Toledo for their Seed Money/UT Guarantee Mailer
  • The Toledo Ballet for the color photograph Flying Caitlin

Silver Winners:

  • Madhouse for the UT Basketball TV campaign
  • PointSeven, Inc. for their color photography for FJ Wescott

The three judges, by rule not from the district, included Eric Holmon, Associate Creative Director at the Smith Brothers Agency in Pittsburg, John Ashton, Interactive Art Director with the Anstey Hodge Agency in Roanoke, and Jamie Conner, Senior Graphic Designer with KCM Advertising in Charlottesville, Virginia. They judged over 465 entries in more than 75 categories from ten cities in the three state area. All entries had already won awards on the local level.
